# Connections to the Nine Previous Works

The connections below concern the specified passages. The previous works do not collectively provide independent confirmation. The titles and explanations in this map are themselves written.

This is a complete English rendering of the source map carried in the final Russian package. Its descriptions of the “current” application belong to that earlier map: the K cases, R and S sections, and numbered cards identify material in the Russian editorial history. They are not presented as sections of the new English N1 manuscript. No new reading of the cited works is claimed. The Russian map and historical material remain in `05_Russian_Edition/beforeword_10_RU_FINAL.zip`.

The source titles are descriptive translations of the Russian titles; they do not refer to English editions. Original Russian titles are retained in `Nine_Previous_Works.json`. Sample words and phrases below are English renderings of the Russian examples, not verbatim English quotations from the earlier dialogue.

The following table makes the change of identifiers explicit. It changes the labels, not the numbering or the historical location they identify.

| Russian identifier | English identifier | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| К1–К8 | K1–K8 | Cases in the retained earlier map |
| Р | R | Earlier dialogue-analysis section |
| С | S | Earlier dialogue-analysis section |
| Д11–Д20 | A11–A20 | Records in the author’s historical corpus |
| В2 | V2 | Earlier example cited by source [18] in the register |
| Н1 | N1 | The separately supplied dialogue |
| П | P | The preserved Russian two-page text |

## [1] Record Boundaries: A Source-Order Method for Checking Written Attributions

Passage: §2.1 and the beginning of §2.2, p. 2

In §2.1, a later explanation is kept separate from the original occurrence, even when it repeats the same words. Its content is not retroactively inserted into the earlier record. This is a rule about the order of records, not a conclusion that the later explanation is false.

Application locations retained from the earlier map: K1, K2, K7

In K1, `speaker` is added after `I`; in K2, the quotation frame is kept separate from the quotation; in K7, a question about a cause does not replace the line already presented with a historical answer. An addition may support a reading, but it does not become what was originally written or cease to be an addition.

Limit: The order of the material is not presented as a measured sequence of reading processes.

The comparison with the earlier text is retained. The dialogue sections R and S refer to A11–A20; the labels “original” and “emotional” were examined in the selection described by the Russian map, not attributed to the earlier sources. These are historical locators, not sections of the new English N1 manuscript.

## [2] Reading as Enclosure: A Constructive Separation of Self-Return and Evidential Admission

Passage: §12, especially §§12.1–12.5, p. 16

In §12.4, an explanation is treated as a subsequent record. If its result is fed back as grounds for admitting the very assignment on which it rests, it becomes a candidate for a separately defined structure of self-support. This does not declare every explanation false in advance.

Application locations retained from the earlier map: K5, K6, K8

In K5, the instruction has already prescribed the phrase: treating its appearance as independent evidence of what it names would reuse the prescribed content. K6 directs the analysis to the explanatory word itself. The words `dependence` and `self-support` also remain explanations here, not discovered mechanisms of thought.

Limit: The formal procedure from the earlier work was not run on the present corpus; its specialized statuses are not assigned to these cases.

The comparison with the earlier text is retained. The dialogue sections R and S refer to A11–A20; the labels “original” and “emotional” were examined in the selection described by the Russian map, not attributed to the earlier sources. These are historical locators, not sections of the new English N1 manuscript.

## [3] “Did You Understand Me?”: What This Record Actually Presents

Passage: §§5.3–5.5, p. 5

Section 5.3 separates three purposes: occurrences and order; assignment to log roles; and a match under a stated criterion. Each extension yields a limited result. The word “understanding” does not, by itself, establish that those results demonstrate understanding.

Application locations retained from the earlier map: K1, K2, K5

K1 and K2 separately consider whom `I` is taken to refer to and who is credited with producing the record. K5 separates the presence of the prepared phrase `I understand you` from a claim about the relation it names. The work develops the analysis of the first person and the distinctions between roles; it does not make a new claim that understanding is impossible.

Limit: Failure to establish a relation is not converted into an established absence of that relation.

The comparison with the earlier text is retained. The dialogue sections R and S refer to A11–A20; the labels “original” and “emotional” were examined in the selection described by the Russian map, not attributed to the earlier sources. These are historical locators, not sections of the new English N1 manuscript.

## [4] A “View from Outside” Comes Later: How a Particular Record Acquires General Status

Passage: §§6.1–6.4, p. 6

Sections 6.1–6.4 keep a single image, the selection of an external position, and a general result across observers distinct. A caption can alter the proposed reading of an image without becoming a property of the pixels presented earlier.

Application locations retained from the earlier map: K3, K4

K3 compares the report `I feel anxious` with the characterization `I am an anxious person` and the extension `I am always like this`. The connection concerns an expansion in scope: positions and observers in one case, time and characterization in the other. The two domains are not treated as identical.

Limit: The new analogy does not prove that all self-descriptions are mistaken generalizations.

The comparison with the earlier text is retained. The dialogue sections R and S refer to A11–A20; the labels “original” and “emotional” were examined in the selection described by the Russian map, not attributed to the earlier sources. These are historical locators, not sections of the new English N1 manuscript.

## [5] The Mathematics Series, Phases 0–7 (“MATHEMATICS REFUTED”). Text used: “A Rocket Does Not Prove Mathematics: A Theorem on the Dependent Status of Application and the Boundary of the ‘It Works’ Argument”

Passage: §8 of the main manuscript, p. 14; also the series page for its contents and public title

From the series of phases 0–7, the passage directly used is §8 of phase 6. There, with values of 102 and 100, a difference of 2 meets a threshold of 2 but not a threshold of 1. The displayed status depends on an added condition, although the compared numerical records remain unchanged.

Application locations retained from the earlier map: K4, K5; the section on studying responses

K5 separates the rule for producing the phrase from the prepared output. In the proposed response study, future codes are to refer to the stated annotation scheme, rather than become the understanding they name. A match under a rule and a claim about a feeling subject cannot be merged through a single result label.

Limit: A particular section is used, not the whole mathematics series. The formal result is not extended to every use of “I” and does not become an external arbiter of reading.

The comparison with the earlier text is retained. The dialogue sections R and S refer to A11–A20; the labels “original” and “emotional” were examined in the selection described by the Russian map, not attributed to the earlier sources. These are historical locators, not sections of the new English N1 manuscript.

## [6] Evaluation Never Leaves the Record: Before the Word “Evaluation”—The Boundary Between Checking a Record and Establishing Its Meaning

Passage: §11.1, p. 17

Section 11.1 separates the result of a specified comparison of one hundred carriers from the attribution of agreement, truth, or authority. The number and sameness of those carriers do not, by themselves, add these meanings to the result code.

Application locations retained from the earlier map: K8; the self-check; the source map; R

K8 examines the inscription `the boundary is proved`; the self-check does not designate agreement as success. The same analysis applies to the words `source` and `confirmation`, and to this bibliography. Repetition of the central formulation across several works does not make them independent evidence. In section R, the same analysis is directed at the words “accuracy” and “correspondence” and at the wording of an objection; the description of a change in the question is itself included in the material.

Limit: Neither the number of sources nor a technical match between files replaces an analysis of the present work’s content.

The comparison with the earlier text is retained. The dialogue sections R and S refer to A11–A20; the labels “original” and “emotional” were examined in the selection described by the Russian map, not attributed to the earlier sources. These are historical locators, not sections of the new English N1 manuscript.

## [7] A String Has No Authority: A Self-Applying Boundary Between AI Output and the Right to Act

Passage: §§6.2–6.4, p. 19

Section 6.4 distinguishes byte identity, expression of the same proposition, and identical authority. Sections 6.2–6.3 also separate a record’s self-designation from the conditions under which signed material can participate in an action.

Application locations retained from the earlier map: K2, K5; the contrasting case of action

K2 does not infer who produced the record from its use of the first person; K5 does not turn the prescribed `I understand you` into independent evidence. An added `I authorize` would likewise require reference, source, and permitted action to be distinguished. The analysis does not declare every use of text in action impossible.

Limit: The present comparison is not a legal opinion and does not update the regulatory provisions of the earlier work.

The comparison with the earlier text is retained. The dialogue sections R and S refer to A11–A20; the labels “original” and “emotional” were examined in the selection described by the Russian map, not attributed to the earlier sources. These are historical locators, not sections of the new English N1 manuscript.

## [8] FULL STOP: The Boundary of a Presented Record

Passage: §5.1, p. 4

Section 5.1 extends the boundary to a warranted inference, a definition, and an explanation of meaning. Grounds for relating a sentence to what it names can be discussed; having grounds does not turn the sentence into what it reports.

Application locations retained from the earlier map: K1–K8; the conclusion; card 6; R

Accordingly, neither accepting the self-report in K3–K4 nor adding an explanation in K6 removes the question of written form. The new work does not end with a promise to gather enough information for the letters to become a feeling subject. Its own conclusion receives the same treatment. In section R, the same analysis is directed at the words “accuracy” and “correspondence” and at the wording of an objection; the description of a change in the question is itself included in the material.

Limit: The distinction between form and what is named is not used to prohibit inferences or to deny the usefulness of additional material.

The comparison with the earlier text is retained. The dialogue sections R and S refer to A11–A20; the labels “original” and “emotional” were examined in the selection described by the Russian map, not attributed to the earlier sources. These are historical locators, not sections of the new English N1 manuscript.

## [9] Inscription and Reading: The Limit of Recording Reading in Writing

Passage: §9, p. 6; §15, pp. 19–20

In §9, a word not individually listed receives no exemption, and stopping the explanation gives its final line no special status. Section 15 already examines the written words rendered here as `I`, `person`, `think`, and `feeling`.

Application locations retained from the earlier map: R, S, K1–K8

Section R addresses the words “accuracy”, “correspondence”, and “task”; section S addresses “original”, “emotional”, and further explanation. The general procedure of applying the analysis to itself is not claimed as new; the material for the comparisons is identified as A11–A20.

Limit: Self-application is not presented as having first appeared in the tenth work. The distinct contribution is limited to these comparisons.

The comparison with the earlier text is retained. The dialogue sections R and S refer to A11–A20; the labels “original” and “emotional” were examined in the selection described by the Russian map, not attributed to the earlier sources. These are historical locators, not sections of the new English N1 manuscript.
